Hello to all! December was a very busy month. That being said, I was still caught off guard when I logged on today and saw the date of my last post. Time truly got away from me.
The wonky pottery I made is now holding paintbrushes. So much better than cottage cheese containers. The chalks I used on the pottery didn't turn out well, much duller than expected, and the glass bits I sprinkled on the paper weights didn't melt like I had hoped.
I think my experiment with low fire clays and glazes is over. Tomorrow Eva and I will be at the Woodland Pottery Studio. It will be nice to get back into a creative groove.
These paper weights are not exactly beautiful but they will serve a purpose. I'm always looking for something to hold down paper when gluing or to keep paper from curling up after I apply paint.
We didn't have a white Christmas but it was still wonderful. Eva and I visited a Christmas tree farm. Happy to report that the tree is still up and looking good.
I must have been very good this year because Santa brought me a new camera.
Now I have to figure out all the bells and whistles. Let me tell you this camera is smarter than my smart phone. I'm in big trouble!
The mice Christmas cards were a hit at the local art gallery. Yeah! I was asked to make Valentine's day cards. They are in the works!
I would like to say I'm spending the day in the studio but I'm not. Eva and I are off
to see "Into the Woods."
I hope you all had a Merry Christmas.
I'm looking forward to the New Year,
how about you?
Have a great day and stop back soon!
Hope you enjoyed the movie! Good stuff. Nice news about the mice. xox
ReplyDeleteThe movie was good! So excited a bout the mice making another appearance.
