This sunny Sunday was Twisted Line Sunday for Eva and me. We spent some time at The Bottlebrush Gallery, learning how to draw Zen tangles. Our instructor was Susan Walker. To visit Susan's blog click here.
This was my first introduction to this form of art. Susan was a very good teacher and you should see her Zen tangles!!!!! Kicking myself for not taking a few pictures of her work during class. Besides me and Eva there were two other young ladies, Kim and Taylor taking the class. We each started a card, then we switched "Round Robin" style. I rather liked working that way.
Thanks to Susan, I have a nice stack of 3x3 inch cards to work on tonight as I watch TV. I think this art form could be addictive! What I found most appealing was that these 3x3 cards are easy to complete in a sitting. (opposed to all the half done projects on my worktable...)
I hope you all are enjoying your Sunday wherever you are. Stop back soon!
Sounds like my kind of workshop. Lovely examples, it is very addictive isn't it?
ReplyDeleteNever tried it but I see some amazing things....have fun xox
ReplyDeleteI have a couple of friends who have really gotten into Zentangles. One friend does them while she travels on planes and waits in lounges. You sure took to it too!
ReplyDeleteIt is so addicting! Your tangles look fantastic!
