This is where I'm at on the Bald Faced hornet's nest.
It's made of magazine pages. At this point it is very much in the "roughed in" stage.
Here is a close up of the actual nest.
Fuzz-a-Roo ( he is wrecking in my studio right now)
Fuzz thinks it's okay to jump on my chest at 3:30 a.m. He wants me to wake up and let him outside. Now, Fuzz is a very big cat. After he knocks the wind out of you, it's hard to get back to sleep. This morning after I got everyone out the door I went back to bed. Here it is almost 11:00 a.m. So much for getting to work early. I have a few good hours left in the day, so I better get to work.

The snow is melting!
...and...
Tonight there is an Open House at Eva's school. As Eva is always plotting and planning adventures, I can't wait to hear what her teachers have to say. (that was sarcasm--I'm sweating bullets) This week she is planning a summer camping trip. Not any trip, a camping trip in a Hippie Van. We just drive and see what happens. For days she has made me look at ads for old VW buses for sale. Eva also gave the family Hippie names. Her name is Echo Echo (that's actually what I wanted to name her-- husband said NO--she's the third kid, lighten up!) My husband is Cool Daddy, he is okay with that. I'm Madame Moonbeam. Echo Echo has shortened it to Moonbeam. After three days of being called Moonbeam, it kinda grows on ya!
Have a great day wherever you are!
... and stop back soon.
When are the baby wasps going to hatch out, Moonbeam?
ReplyDeleteThe wasps are all dead. They die in the fall. The queens leave the nest and hibernate elsewhere. Then in the spring they lay eggs and start a new hive. The birds picked the nest clean before I got to it. Moonbeam has a certain ring to it don't you think???
Deletehey moonbeam....hippie camping sounds like fun....wasp nest is comong out amazing, will watch for the progress. xox
