Things to DO!

I've been on the look out for small fun projects that balance out some of my more lofty projects that are slow going. ( I hope to have them published, so I can't share just yet.)  Here are a few projects you might want to try this week.

Photo Bucket, an online photo editing site, is having a Polar Vortex photo contest. Tweet or Instagram your winter photo to #pbWinter. The winning photo will become the cover photo for Photo Bucket's Face Book page. Photo Bucket is a free photo editing site. In order for it to be free you have to put up with advertisements. If you are new to photo editing it's worth the hassles being it is a good place to learn photo editing.

I sent the above photo via Instagram. I used Eva's account so it's under MrTree something or other.  Here is a link to see the Polar Vortex photos that have been posted thus far.

This next Valentine's Day Project I saw over at Karen Isaacson's blog, Mail Me Some Art. Radio Station Star 106.5 in Sacramento, CA is collecting Valentine's Day cards for a children's hospital.

There are a few rules for this project:

1. The cards must be at the radio station by Feb.10th.

2. Cards can not be sealed. So mail your unsealed card inside another envelope.

3. Nothing edible.

4. Cards can be signed but no other personal information.

5. Send cards to,  Star 106.5  Valentine's Day Cards
                             5345 Madison Ave.
                             Sacramento, CA 95841

Lastly, another photo project for bloggers. Jennifer Coyne Qudean and her blog friends do a monthly photo post based on ROY G BIV. This month, you guessed it-- it's red. On Thursday the 16th I will be posting photos based on the color red. If you join in let Jennifer know so we can visit your blog and admire your red photos. Next month is orange, post day is Feb. 20th.

Well, I have plenty to do this week. How about you?
