While visiting Asheville, NC back in June we took a side trip to

Chimney Rock National Park. We climbed Chimney Rock, some 300 plus steps.

Toward the left side of the photo is Chimney Rock, an American flag is flying.

It was a long climb to the top.

(half way up I realized how out of shape I am!)

Out side of the park is a small village. It has cute shops and restaurants.

We spent a nice afternoon exploring the town and creek that flows through the area.
