UFOs
Day two of the make art on an index card turned out silly.
I call it "Alien abduction. . .wake up little sheep."
I gessoed the index card then painted the background with acrylic paints. The sheep is made of paper and the claw is aluminum foil.
This week I have been doing a major cleaning and sorting out of clutter. During the for said excavation I found a watercolor painting I did some time ago at my friend Maria's art studio. The lesson was, how to paint stormy skies. We were to paint a scene of a lighthouse with a storm moving in. Since the watercolor class was held in Mars, PA I decided the painting needed a UFO.
After I found my painting of the UFO dinging the lighthouse, I started to think of other times
I used UFOs in my work. In my Sketchbook Project 2011 sketchbook Waterlogged,
I had a page with a UFO.
So with UFOs on my mind, I proceeded with art on an index card.
If you find yourself out of ideas review some of your past work. You never know, there might be a UFO waiting to be rediscovered.
From the Sketchbook Project 2011 sketchbook Waterlogged. I used paint, magazine pages and tissue paper to make these pages. The words read, "Severe thunderstorm warning. . .All small aircrafts proceed to nearest airport." "All small aircrafts are grounded for the next 12 hours."
Have a great day and keep your eyes on the skies!
Okay, you don't know how much I like these. Yeah. That's all I'm saying.
ReplyDeleteWell, then, I LOVE THESE.
Are you in the 2014 sketchbook project? I guess they call it that because it's due in Jan.
Cool icad. Have fun with them! I'm not doing July, but I had so much fun with June! In fact, I may do two or three July just so I don't have to go cold turkey.
Am I still talking?
thanks! I enjoyed seeing your ICADs on your blog, I hope you make more.
