Memories of Mark Twain

Just back from the post office.
This postcard is my entry for the
Memories of Mark Twain Mail Art Show
being held by
The Geneva Lake Art Association
in Lake Geneva, WI.
In the Adventures of Huckleberry Finn,
Huck realizes that his Pa is back in town when he find a
boot print with a cross of nails in the left boot heel,
--to keep off the devil.

This project started out with me, a boot, some mud and a camera.
I photo shopped the picture then printed it out.
Next I put  high lights in with  markers and watercolor pencils.

Learning to edit photos has been on my "to do" list for sometime.
Revamping my blog has also been on that list.
The overhaul didn't go as well as I hoped.
I settled for "tile" background.
I could not make HTML or an Img code to work.
I used both Photobucket and Imgur...no luck.

The new background is part of a set of pieces I mailed out today to a magazine.
Crossing my fingers it will get published next fall, then you will be able to see what it is.

A few weeks ago I asked Corrine at dosfish's blog how she managed to have such cool graphics on her blog. She answered; blogger draft and brute force...I so get that now!
