Two is for Joy

Here are the two postcards I send out for my blog's

Valentine's mail art swap.

This past year the poem about magpies seems to keep

popping up in my life. (books and movies)

Magpies are thought to be bearers of omens.

     Magpies

One for sorrow

Two for joy

Three for a wedding

Four for a birth

Five for silver

Six for gold

Seven for a secret,

never to be told

Eight for a wish

Nine for a kiss

Ten for a bird you must not miss

I'll be posting all the wonderful art that has turned up in my mail box.

Until about six months ago my husband traveled extensively for his job.

Our lives changed when he took a new position in the company.

He is now home for dinner every night and home on weekends.

( It's been pretty great!)

But this week he had to leave.

I have been a slug.

I get to watch what I want on TV,

so hooked on The United States of Tara.

( Netflixs, 36 episodes, I'm on 18)

Dinners have be slim pickings, laundry a tad backed up.

No art.

I'll be back on track in a day or two.
