Life has been a bit crazy in my household lately. Chloe finishing up college finals and Eva has a million things going on at school. May is always a busy month.
I just had a birthday in which I was given some fine pieces of jewelry. I do like to accessorize!
Chloe and Eva gave me this glitzy Brighton flower bracelet.
My oldest daughter Heather, made me this steampunk type necklace.
My wonderful husband gave me a vintage 1920's Art Deco bracelet. The picture does not do it justice. It fits like it was made just for me, I love it!
Art wise I have been working on a magazine article submission. It's stalled and sitting on my work table waiting for my return.
Also we have been planning our family vacation and scheduling summer camps for Eva. Our summer is going to be busy. I needed a mental vacation from all the hub-bub. For me, slipping into a book is a slice of Heaven.
I'm just back from a romp around Bom Temps LA, with Sookie Stackhouse. The HBO series Ture Blood, is VERY LOOSELY based on Charlaine Harris's books. Where the TV show is X rated, the books are PG13.
hush, hush was an interesting read. A fallen Angel enters a teenage girl's life. The author Becca Fitzpatrick keeps you guessing, who's good and who's evil???
I like to read books with only one foot in reality. You'll find me wondering the young adult section of the library. The books there are full of adventure, mystery and awe. All delivered without making one worry about the mental state of the human race.
Now for the BIG NEWS!!!
Yesterday I heard from not one, but two, magazines.
Cloth Paper Scissors excepted the Spider Ball for the Wild Wire Challenge.
I was also notified that Green Craft Magazine ( Somerset Studios) will publish the flag wall hanging I submitted back in March. I finished it in the JoAnn Fabric parking lot!
Maybe I'll make it back to my work table soon.
Have a great day everyone!
