The mixed media winner in The Green Show is....
my daughter Chloe!
Last Friday night we attended the opening of The Green Show held at the Butler Art Center in Butler PA.
Chloe made this trash map of the world in her last year of high school. She has been moving it around our house for a little over a year.
She was stunned when they called her name. After she returned from picking up the ribbon and prize money she told me how unexpected the win was. Doesn't that make it all the better!
The night of the opening we barely got ourselves to the show. It had been a long week and Chloe had had a rather rough day. Going back out into the cold dark rainy evening was not what we wanted to do. I'm so glad we went!
( We were home by 8:45 p.m. and I dropped right into my bed...sad I know)
Will post more photos from the show soon. There were a lot of really good entries in mixed media and several other categories.

ReplyDeleteCongrats to Chloe, she looks thrilled in her pic, and she should be. Now if we could use all that trash up - our biggest resource ever. Bed before nine, oh yeah, course I am up before five today, so that tells you everything. Like Mother, like daughter, she follows after a telented trash queen, you go Mom. xox Corrine
