Highly Prized
Highly Prized is the January theme for The Sketch Book Challenge.
I seem to "highly prize" my current projects. Whatever I am working on is exciting, frustrating at times, but always there is the element of surprise that moves me forward and keeps me involved. You just never know for sure how it will end.
Some projects I love and some I think, "well next time I will do that different". Always lessons to be learned.
I become so invested in my projects and most of the time I am thrilled with the process and end product.
But a few days after I have completed my master piece, I'm done with it. I don't care to look at it or care much what happens to it. Why??? Because I am on to another project that has captured my attention.
My first sketch is of my current project. It's a pixie dress that I made out of recycled items.
I will be posting pictures of the pixie dress soon. It's my project for the Cloth Paper Scissors' Flower Challenge. My sketch is a peek and does not come close to how cute the dress is...I'm very pleased with it!
Dress Sketch: Ink, acrylic paint, marker.
Love the color combination -- and can't wait to see the finished pixie dress! xo
ReplyDeleteThere should always be more pixies in the world. Love that purple, can't wait to see the finished piece. Stay warm, eat soup, make raccoon costumes. xox corrine
ReplyDeleteLovely, I'm just finishing a flower page in the OTHER sketchbook, want to get it off tomorrow or Tues.
ReplyDeleteOne of my fave. colors is purple and I can't wait to see the pixie dress!
ReplyDeleteAwesome start! You really stayed true to your sketch with the final product. That is hard for me to do sometimes. I get carried away and totally off base! Great job!!!
