Looking for Christmas

Things are getting back to normal around here. The flooding we had did not come near our home. We live on a hillside over looking the valley that flooded. After the flood excitement I came down with two different bugs at the same time. Was feeling like life just isn't fair.
After days of working to try to get things back to normal I find I have no Christmas spirit.
Between now and Christmas I plan to seek the joy of the season.
My camera will be with me at all times to document and then share what I find.

First thing up, is a new tree and ornaments. The idea of looking at the same Christmas decoration I have put up for the last 15 years was depressing. My husband travels a lot for his job. I gave up on real trees years ago, they are to hard to put up by myself.  I have to say I am in love with this white tree.

And a Christmas miracle happened last night.
All of the Bible Babes ( my very fun friends and not so good Bible study group) were all able to get together in the same place on the same night.
Trust me it was a miracle that took two weeks to plan and over a hundred emails!

Members of this group come and go. Two of the ladies are original members who started the group 20 years ago. I have been a member for six years. These ladies are fun. I have  been to some of the best parties at their homes. Most of the time there is a crazy theme involved and we dress up. Even their husbands and kids get into the swing of things. Eva considers all these ladies to be her friends too.
I'm very thankful to be a member of this group.
Merry Christmas,
Jill
