Home Alone!
Yesterday was every mother's August dream day. Home alone, not a kid in sight!
I set up my sew machine determined to finish two wall hangings. Then I sifted through fabrics to use as binding. Nothing was speaking to me. So I decided to dye some cheese cloth and pfd fabric. I dug out my old Rite powdered dyes left over from a Tye dye project I did with the kids two summers ago.
It didn't take long for me to switch to dyeing paper bags. I had some spectacular results. Toward the end I found how to blend the dyes and use bleach in places. I will be buying more dye and continuing on. It's kind of addicting!
They look realy good after I iron them. I'm thinking next I'll hit them with a high gloss!
