Happy days
Looks like the next three days are free for me to work on my many projects.
I've been working on this wall hanging. It's based on a patch of cone flowers that grow alongside my moms house. I'm excited about this piece. I just love finding a use for discarded items. This work is made from a paper bag and tissues paper. I also added some detail with ink. I need to get a small piece of batting before I can stitch in more details and fun elements. Thankfully my mom, a quilter, lives only three miles away. I can't leave Zeus for long, he now has a tiny bladder.
I also found some time this morning to sketch in my Sketchbook Project book. Remember my theme is "a record year for rainfall".
Eva's rain boot
The August destination for Virtual Paintout is Prince Edward Island, Canada. One can spend hours scouting out the "right" spot. It soon became clear to me to find a place quickly and get on with it. I chose another building. I love natural landscapes but I look at trees and high weeds every day.
Okay, I need to get back to work.
later,
Jill
Nice job! I remember when you were "laundering" the brown paper. Love the boot, too.
