It was a beautiful weekend here in western PA. My family and I spent Saturday in the historical town of Harmony. At the Weaver's Cabin I bought a soft snuggly shawl. I have been wearing it since I bought it. Eva has her eye on it so I don't want to let it out of my sight!

This photo is of Eva and my mom in front of the Harmony Inn. The Inn has new owners and they gave the building and menu a grand makeover.

The Wunderbar is a happening coffee shop that is not to be missed when visiting this charming town.

Artist Huston Christopherson  was painting inside the coffee shop.

The Darn Yarn Needles and Thread shop shares the building with the Wunderbar.

Next door to the Wunderbar you will find Adrienne Grafton's  bright and cheerful jewelry store. Adrienne designs and makes all this fab jewelry.

(I'm planning a trip back to this shop!)

And now for a small peek into The Bottlebrush Gallery. This is my very favorite place to visit and hang out in Harmony. The Bottlebrush often has featured artist nights, live music events, art classes and hosts writing groups. The arts are alive in Harmony thanks to the good folks at the Bottlebrush!

This interesting building holds a hair salon, music school and a Hippy store. Sadly I can't remember the names of these businesses. Harmony has many more wonderful old building and great businesses.

I hope you enjoyed this trip to Harmony, PA as much as I did.

With Christmas, yes I said Christmas, a few months away I encourage you to visit local businesses and give art as gifts this year.

Have a great day and stop back soon!

  1. My wife would really enjoy that Darn Yarn Needles and Thread store. If she went in there I don't know if I could ever get her to leave. I would love to go to the Wunderbar coffee shop. I guess I could wait in the coffee shop while my wife goes yarn shopping.
