Postcard Swap

Kat Eye Studio's Liberate Your Art 2014 Postcard Swap is now open to anyone who would like to join in this world wide swap. I signed up, even got a new badge for my blog!

What's the deal with this swap? The goal is to send artwork out into the world, meet other artist and share your art!

Basically you sign up for the swap here or click the badge on the right side of my blog. Then have five postcards printed featuring your art. Any media, photography, collage, illustration, on and on, even poetry and cooking. Send the postcards to Kat and she handles the swap. Then SIX postcards are sent to your mailbox, one from Kat herself and five other postcards from fellow artist.

The postcards have to be professionally printed. What? Why? This is a wakeup call, get your work out into the world and make sure it looks its very best. I had twenty cards printed at Moo, you can order as little as ten for a very reasonable price.

Okay, okay, I know you are wondering what I picked to adorn the front of my postcard. It took a while to narrow it down, many choices were made then discarded. Finally I chose something that made me laugh,
a page from my Fly Me to the Moon e-book.

The postcards from Moo arrived today. I will get them out to Kat long before the March 15th deadline. Next up is a mad scramble to get things together for an art class I'm teaching Thursday night. I have been dragging my feet a bit because I'm afraid the class might be canceled due to bitter cold weather and snow.

Tomorrow, -10 degrees, I'm so over this Polar Vortex stuff!

Keep warm and have a great day!

  2. I hope the class goes too, need to get out of my house! School is cancelled again, we are tired of looking at the same walls.

  3. So glad you decided to participate, Jill! It's been a while since I've popped in here at Recycled Daze... it struck me that I don't get your posts delivered to my email anymore! (WHAT?!) I signed up again, in hopes of staying more on top of your adventures!

  4. Happy postcarding. I'm tempted to join in, but I have these projects with deadlines at the moment. Love the moon/cheese image!! There was a weather explanation on TV the other night that said there was no such thing as a polar vortex, but rather something more mundane (so mundane that I forget what!!). xoxo
