Plan B

I've been working for two days on this purse.
( Two days while cooking, cleaning, parent/teacher meeting, on & on)

It looks cool if you see it in person. Well, the proportions are wrong but the the color and textures are good. Unfortunately it does not photograph well. The background has a bronze metallic paint swiped across it, it's reading red in the photo.
I made the purse out of brown paper bags that I dyed. I'm working on art for a magazine. They liked the article I wrote just not my seasonal ( fall) art work. They wanted to run the article after Christmas.  I thought about trying different lighting and taking the photos again but have decided to just start over.
Now I need a plan B??????

  1. What if you photo it in stages Jill so you can capture the truer color? Or set up a white area like a light box out of white bristol board and put lamps and photo it there. It's a really cool idea, love the wooden stick handle. Keep going, but in the meantime you have a neat purse to use! xox Corrine

  2. Me thinks you are too hard on yourself. Is this something that can be tweaked in Photoshop? I'm thinking it looks pretty darn good as it is.
    You're awesome! xoxo

  3. Hey Jill! I love the colors and your stitching looks great! The handles are awesome too! Great job!! I have a hard time with photos as well, but I always like how you are creative with your photos. The pixie dress drifting in the wind...etc. You'll get it!!! :)
