Mail Art Show at the Evans City Public Library!

  The Evans City Public Library

"I saw it at the library" or "Things found at a Library"
Mail Art Show

September 6th - November 1st, 2018

The mail art show opened a few days before the Evans City's Oktoberfest and ran during the library's wine tasting fundraiser and the town's Night of the Living Dead Weekend Festival.

Artwork from around the world poured into the library. Our mailman Mike got a crash course in mail art! Many thanks to the artist who answered our art call. A mail art show has no prizes or awards. Artwork is not returned to the artist. It's done for the sheer pleasure of sharing art and a bit of ourselves with others.  It truly is an act of good will and generosity.

Thank you, to everyone who mailed art to the library. We loved hearing from you!

Here is a peek at the artwork. All the artwork will be posted individually over the next few weeks.

I'll start with the local artists who participated.

This Lake Pymutuming painting was made by someone in the King family.
